Just had a good chat with the local Motor Trike dealer. He's got a few 1800 Trikes in stock, and my wife and I are going down tomorrow to take a test ride with him.

2003 with the Adventure kit (independent suspension). 25K miles on it. Black (that's the fastest color, right?), few extra light farkles (bird on the front of the fairing, ring of fire? That's the brake disc housing LEDs, right?) and riding lights, CB antenna (but no CB ) and arm rests. No cupholders, darn it. Have to buy new ones. Trunk luggage rack and racks on the rear fenders. Bird with lighted eyes on the front fender. $20K.

Nice thing about talking to the local dealer is that when I tell him where I live and how fast I take the road, he's got an excellent idea of how hard I ride.

So... we'll see. Biggest advantage of this is that he IS the local dealer and we CAN test ride it. Would I like the Road/igan/Side/pion better? Don't know unless/until I can ride one. But I don't know anyone with one of those, so... one step at a time.

Got the owner to take $18k.

Now I just need to remember NOT to countersteer.

And control my desire for farkles.

I'll be heading down to the shop tomorrow night with a check.

First things that need to be done to it are have a hitch installed and those blasted floorboards and the heel and toe shifter removed. Bad enough that I have to worry about all the new controls AND the whole not countersteering thing without having to fight the heel and toe shifter.

After that... WingStuff is going to love me, I just know it. So many farkles... turn signals and LEDs and lights. It's dark here in Vermont with no streetlights, so I want to be sure that Canth's new form can be seen from ORBIT.

You'll probably learn some new profanity as I chronicle trying NOT to countersteer!
