Cool Updating The GPS Nav System

Hello Forum, I have a 2012 GL1800 with satellite navigation. Does anyone know if the what's in the current 2017 Nav system the same as my 2013, or has it been updated entirely? If yes to the latter, any ideas how I can do the same? ~ GI Joe

I can't offer anything regarding the US model. I do believe the Canadian models have an updates as of 2015 though, so I'd assume they would be similar. I haven't seen the newest versions unfortunately. One of Alberta members has a 2015 so maybe he can chime in.

To update, you need to contact Garmin. Maps are old (2015 for you) and $95.00 a pop. You are better of getting Garmin or such, mount it on your bike and enjoy the lifetime maps.

Thanks TAL! I appreciate the reply AND the URL! Funny how you have to buy the portable Garmin to get the lifetime updates. Guess Honda is gonna make a buck anyway they can. LOL! ~ GI Joe

If you do a search on some of the GPS sites you may find the newest maps available.
