Congratulations on completing your fantastic journey and thank you for your journal and pictures.

I have really enjoyed reading your blog and your posts on here. I have told several people I know about your adventure. Not sure that I will ever get to do a trip this extravagant but I sure want to take a couple of weeks and head out with no firm plans other than seeing some country and doing some riding by myself.
I was on vacation last week and missed a few days of your blog. I saw in one of your latest blogs a reference to "chip readers" of which you didn't seem to pleased with. I have gone back through other pages and can't find a description of what you were talking about.
What are these "chip readers" you refer to?
Thanks and glad your trip was without major difficulty.

That looked like a heck of a ride. I enjoyed keeping up with your blog too. Thanks for taking us along with you.

Oh ok. All USA merchants were supposed to have those by Oct 2015 but most don't. Glad to hear it was cc chips you were referring to. I was afraid they had come up with traffic control chips that would electronically measure speed as you passed a reader 😳

Glad to hear you're home safe and sound and look forward to hearing you've started on Part II.
