My shop is 1.2 miles away from my home and my commute is 3 minutes. yesterday it was 131 miles from my shop to my home. I may have taken the long way home.

As an aside, it was 80 degrees today. We are under a blizzard warning for tomorrow, with about 6 inches of snow and 30-40mph winds.
Gotta love Colorado. If you don't like the weather, wait a minute.

I generally don't like riding to work. My mind is too cluttered about the day ahead and most of the drivers I encounter I suspect are the same but today I wanted to drop the bike off to have some work done. I will admit I cleared my head and the 25 mile ride was wonderful.

Cleaned the bike and took a short ride over the Appalachian Gap to the Mad River.
Sat for a while watching and listening.

Oh my my, gorgeous Easter Day. Went to church and took ride down The Natchez Trace. Left Nashville and got on Trace at northern terminus by Loveless Cafe which had half dozen assorted m/c out front. Cruised down to Merriwether-Lewis SP. Snapped a few “glamour” shots. I don’t show these to just anyone😎

Today was a fun ride. My nephew, Danny Stuart just bought him a new Harley and it had 350 miles on it when he left home this morning. We met in Carthage MS and I took him on a series of back roads thru this part of MS. He had never been in some of these places. He did really well. I rode Judy's VTX to burn the old gas since she hasn't ridden in several months. It ran great after I remembered to close the choke. Modern bikes don't have chokes. I took Danny to the Naniah Waiha burial mound which legend has is the mother mound for all the mounds in MS. Very sacred place to the Choctaw Tribe. We had a great time. I think we almost double the miles on the new Harley.

Hi Ray ,

I had a VTX 1300S (spoke wheels) before I bought my new 2012 Goldwing. I don't remember much about the choke - but that's funny that you had it choked for some of your ride. I have put ~43k on my Goldwing and the ride is not even comparable with the VTX. The sheer power on my GW is just incredible. I ride about 6 or 7 times a year from Ft. Worth to Nacogdoches to see my son and grandsons - and (most of the time) an incredible ride. Going on the 2-lane East Texas roads w/ sunlight glistening thru the tall pines is an awesome experience of freedom. And the sound system - good music adds ALOT to the ride. anyway I enjoyed your post!

Rushed around Saturday morning to get “honey do” list shortened. After that we headed to Tuscumbia, AL 140 miles from Nashville to see Helen Keller birthplace.

The last narrative tour was at 3:45 pm so decided to take I65 south to make quicker time. Then off interstate near Pulaski, TN and down to Rogerville, AL. Made it over to Florence/Sheffield/Tuscumbia and weaved through residential neighborhoods to find “Ivy Green” the name given to homeplace by her parents.

We took tour and walked the grounds then decided to go back via Natchez Trace Parkway which is about 20 mi west of Tuscumbia near Cherokee, AL

Beautiful ride on parkway, not much traffic and several deer!! We rolled back in to Nashville at near dark. About 300 miles round trip

Today was my Grandson's graduation from kindergarten. Martena couldn't get off work so I took the bike down there. What would be a good present for this? Why his first road ride on a bike of course. After school we were going out to lunch so I took him on the bike. We road some back roads then highway up to Hattiesburg. Just a nice CAT ride. About 40 miles for him, almost 300 for me. His Mom's expression loading up was priceless.
