Rode down to Marshall, MI today. This weekend is the Michigan GWRRA rally there. I got there a little after noon so there was not many venders there and set up yet. I checked out the fair grounds there and there was quite a few people there and their campsites set up. Looked like it is going to be a pretty good turn out for as many that were there already that early on a Thursday. After checking that out rode over to Battle Creek then back on home. Round trip was about 175 miles all two lanes, nice ride on a nice day.

Made it home today, from our five day mountain ride retreat, total 1,321 miles. Rode 320 miles from Banner Elk, NC, under ugly looking skies, most of the way, but it never rained, thank goodness. We had a great time riding such fun and beautiful roads with temps all days mostly in the 70ís and low 80ís! Plan to do it again in Oct for our fall leaf run!

I got a set of new Dunlop road smart tires installed on the Mighty ST 1300 yesterday and needed to put a few miles on them to break them in so I rode down to Monroe, mi. to meet up with big bob, scott, and the silver surfer and it gave me a chance to put a few miles on the new tires.. bob and the silver surfer were there because the lower great lakes IBA ride is taking place tomorrow. on the way home I did a little recon for the group and verified that north bound I-75 was closed at Schafer rd. well my new tires are breaking in nicely but I still need to hit a low speed curvy road or two

Rt. 33 from Harrisonburg Va. to 220 to Smoke Hole Rd. and to the North Fork Inn. Great escape in the WV mountains. Then jumped in the Milton's car and headed out for an interesting and fun day.

Rode to Muskegon, MI today to check out the Bike Time/Rebel Road rally there.

I made it over there about 2 pm this afternoon, it has been going on since Thursday and ends at 4 pm today. Being the final afternoon it was kinda winding down, but still had a pretty good crowd there. I spent about an hour wandering around checking out the venders then rode back home. Muskegon is not real far from home, about 135 miles round trip. Just another warm up for the "real" rally ride in a little over a week to Sturgis, SD.

Rode 500+ miles from home to St. Agatha ME for the Widows Sons Northern Invasion rally. Today was ~200 miles in heavy rain... and Frogg Toggs and Aerostich Triple Digit Rain Covers were not up to the challenge.

The rain covers will get re-waterproofed with 303 and the Frogg Toggs may well get trashed. (Wife's pants tore. )

Bummer on the Frogg Toggs but hats off to yíall, especially the wife, for the long wet ride. I havenít found any rain gear that keeps you dry in heavy rain like that; the ones that do are hot when riding in the summer months, however. Hope the rest of the ride is drier; keep us posted.

We took a short ride down through the old home town. Stopped and finally snapped the pic of Mom & Dad's Hometown Heroes Flag. Then continued on a round-a-bout route to the Ukranian Day event where 10 parishes join together in a huge block party, complete with Bleenies, Pierogies, Haluski, and Halupkis to bring home for good eats.

Ride 500 plus miles yesterday into Missoula Montana to the gun show and back.
It was a full day and my tail bone knows it.
No pics, I try to forget my phone when I ride.
Great day

I finally got away from my boat project long enough for a bike ride.
55 miles short, but i enjoyed every bit of it... well, except my back was throbbing by the end of it. the roads are not particularly well taken care of these days, i guess. just a fun ride, around the various nearby towns. Wilton, Chesterville, Farmington Falls, Vianna, Mt Vernon (past the Travis Mills place), Belgrade, Rome, New Sharron, and back to my home town of Farmington.

for some reason, whenever i stopped at an intersection, i could smell a hint of gas (petrol, not body). checked the gas cap, but it was tight. must have dripped some on my bike or hands when i filled up, i guess. bike ran great, but i think it is getting a little throaty sounding. i think the mufflers must be rusting faster than i thought they would.
