Bet that ice cream hit the spot. Nothing like a ride and a cone to make a great day!

Took my wife Debi for her first rides on the wing yesterday and today. Yesterday just a short run around ocean drive in Newort RI with a stop at Fort Adams (see pics maybe) Today with a longer ride (75+mi) though back country roads in Portsmouth, Little Compton, Tiverton, and Westport RI finishing with her first highway ride back. Wife loves the back seat compared to the Shadow's. I'm still getting used to the stops and could be a lot smoother, but I'm getting there. Worth the investment, we only got her so my wife could ride with me. Wife bought a cute new helmit so good things are working out. Hope to do a rally next saturday. BTW, IDMWT but it was okay.

Judy and I rode through the MS Delta yesterday on some roads suggested by Mark. He decided to go to a pecan festival in South MS so we took off by ourselves after church. We are getting ready for another leg of the Perimeter Tour and wanted to get some miles on the bikes before we left. I plan to ride the old Harley on this leg just for the fun of it and Judy's VTX needed to get out of the garage. We rode about 275 miles and got back home just before dark. Mark has told me about a hardwood national forest just south of Rolling Fork and we went over to check it out. Good place to do some hunting. Didn't take any pics so I can't prove we went - but I promise we did. Great ride. Getting cooler. Will be real nice in a couple of weeks. We plan to ride the Atlantic coast north from Jacksonville leaving here on October 23. Will ride as far as we can in a week. Judy is still working - dang it!!!! Will do the perimeter of MS and AL to our daughter's place in Pensacola and then head to Jacksonville the next day.
