I heard it was a funding/logistics issue with the Pentagon. They are planning on smaller rides sponsored and organized by the chapters instead of a national one.

Haven't read or heard anything. But I can understand, my own intuition, that it's becoming a ride of the past. Most of the Rider were from the Vietnam era. A lot of POW flags flown. Vietnam veteran myself, non- combat years, so I understand the rememberance. Today we just say:
, " Thank you for your Service " and that is enough.
