Looking for a good mechanic or shop in the North Sound area to do service and repair our 97 & 99 wings. Would prefer somewhere around the Everett area since that isn't that far from home. I have no experience with any of the local dealers so I'm open for suggestions.
Thanks

Thanks, I've got a couple of things to try before I resort to taking it in. I'll definitely let them know you referred me.

What kind of problems are you having?

Low rpm hesitation. Real pain when leaving a stop because you roll away nice but then falls flat on it's face. Have changed the fuel filter and run a couple of tanks of fuel with seafoam in it and it's better but not gone. Makes leaving stop signs a real challenge. It's not evident any other time. This bike is a 99 with 12000 miles so it has sat, I'm thinking maybe carburetor rebuild time.

I had some hesitation issues when I first got my bike and Seafoam did its magic for me but it took 1,000 miles or so. I ran it double the prescribed amount. I would dump a full can in the tank and run it out and see how that goes.
Time takes time on this. Starting the bike up and bringing it to operating temperature a few times a day even during these rainy days will keep that Seafoam working and flushing.

Thanks, will keep working on it. Just bought a gallon of seafoam this weekend.

I buy it by the gallon too. Save 40% off the pint price.

Seems like the Seafoam has finally done its magic. The hesitation has completely disappeared. I doubled up on the last couple of tanks and that seemed to do the trick - thanks. Next time I'm down south I'm going to stop by Seattle Cycle Service just to say Hi & check things out.

The forum wins again! Are you riding today? Me too....but I don't have a destination in mind. I got up too late for the Seattle GWRRA meeting.
I am thinking of riding up to Leavenworth for lunch. See some leaves changing and some mountain twisties. Let me know by pm if you are interested. I sent you a pm as well.
