We recently had an issue with a member not totally following certain guidelines regarding the proper use of certain groups and products. It is very important that all members read and understand the rules and guidlines of how and what can be included in signatures and subject lines of posts. It is all well and good to mention associations and products that you may use and personally endorse, but please take care that it is not done in a way that can be misconstrued as advertising or promotion. The forum site has very clear rules as to being a product advertiser or sponsor and as such requires a monthly fee for doing so. Links or 'pumps' in signatures sometimes goes outside those parameters and contravenes the forum guidlines. While we encourage members to be positive supporters of groups and products, please be very mindful of how it is approached in your posts to avoid misrepresentation. It is not the intent of the Moderators or Admins to censor or control input from the membership, but we have a duty to make sure that rules and guidelines are maintained.
