Well, I finally did it. I ordered the Nolan N-43 helmet with the elite 629 audio built in from J&M today. Got it in silver to match the Wing. After looking around at full face and modular helmets I felt that was the best choice for me. I like that the front bar can be removed for a 3/4 look.

It also helped that J&M was having a 10% discount on the entire setup, so I saved $45. I'll let you know how it works when it comes and I can try it out.

Good for you buddy. Would be interested to see how the Nolan is.

The only thing is now I'm even going to look worse riding with you.:D

Well the new helmet was delivered yesterday. When I measured my head I was at the low end of the large fit, but I've never had a large before. Every helmet I've worn before was a medium, so I went with a medium. A little hard to get on, but I've never had a full face helmet with the wind collar so I guess I'll have to get more practice. Once on my head it feels really great. Nice and snug. For you riders who use a full face, are they more difficult to get on and do they get better with use??

Had to order another lower cord because of the upgraded headset, so I can't try out the sound quality yet. I'm amazed at how light the helmet is also.

Any comments or suggestions would be welcomed. Ride safe...

Can't wait to see the new lid my friend. To answer your questions, Yes they are a little more difficult but really only until you get used to the motions. They do loosen up a little just like all helmets but as I said you'll get used to it. The one thing you should keep an eye on is after riding a bit just make sure you don't develop any pressure points that will lead to pain. Janice & I both had that issue on our new HJC's. What I ended up doing was figuring out where the pressure was taking the helmet liner out, getting my Dremel tool, shaving a small amount of the foam, coating it with liquid electrical tape & putting the liner back in. We were good to go after that.

Well I was out today around town and on the interstate for about 45 min in 93 degree weather with the new helmet and I was very satisified with the results. Very lightweight and the sound was excellent from the J&M elite headset. I like the flip down sun visor too. I did not have the chin bar attached and don't know if I ever will since it seems to make me feel somewhat "closed in" and uncomfortable. So I guess the Nolan N-43 is a keeper for me.

Awesome. I am a big fan of open face helmets. I use a full face only when it is bitter cold outside. Fossil is right on the money about pressure points. If a spot feels a little snug when you first put it on, that same spot will feel like a boulder against your face on the road in no time.

Brown truck deliveried new helmet for me today as well.

Shoei RJ Air Platinum with Goldwing decals on the sides.

The modular helmets like yours are interesting. You can have the best of both worlds. Please let us know how it holds up, that model is definatley on my future shopping list.

I just " upgraded " to an HJC I-33. That flip down sun visor is the cats meow. I have to dremel sander/cut the nose curvature out because under certain conditions it rubs on my proboscis. When the dogs die and leave me their inheritance I'm getting the Nolan.

How about a couple pics TW? Chop, the rubber spoiler of my Arai tickles my honker once in a while too, but I seldom wear it on the Wing. Saving it pretty much exclusive for the rocket when it arrives
