I know what you mean about music being a hard business to crack. I have a friend who has been writing christian songs and music for years and just released a cd. Not a lot of $$$ to be made unless you get "discovered"... Good luck.

You got my vote too Gerard. I applaud your efforts, music is a tough gig (no pun intended) and I know lots of people that have tried and never gotten much in return. Duane Steele is a pretty close friend, along with his former band members Wendell and Derrek. My ex s-i-l managed him, as well as a pair of Vancouver natives (the Leadfoot Twins/Last Corvairs) and a few others, but she gave up the rat-race. It's one of the tough things about being Canadian, we've had some fantastic acts come out of here, but there's a hundred more left behind for the one that goes somewhere. The big labels are just too much about image and not enough about the talent. They can mix in the talent if they wanna spend the bucks. Good luck to you and I'll watch with great interest. Keep us posted.
