Don't you just love some of those road signs and the directions offered? Is it any wonder why road trips to other places are so much fun and the GPS doesn't have an update yet to tell you of the changes.

Thanks Trike Lady. I think I have it worked out. The first photo take the 308 because I'm confused with the other signs. The second sign take the middle one that runs east and west. At least you know the direction you are going. The third photo is simple. Go straight through because if the person putting up the sign up thinks I need luck I had better keep it simple. I have a saying when I go on a holiday That I haven't had a holiday until I have gone down the wrong road Looks like I'm in for a holiday. I bet you guys will get a laugh at where I find myself. It happened the last time I was there.

Now " South 29 " I know. " Lee Highway " will get me close enough to home that I can call the wife and tell her I'm somewhere nearby: http://maps.yahoo.com/#mvt=m&lat=38.838469&lon=-77.423336&zoom=14

Love2ride, You have given me a laugh. Now if it only takes 20 min to get there. You must live close by because it only takes me about 20 mins to get there. But with all these road signs I am getting confused. Eric

This is the best trip I've been on that I didn't have to leave the barn to enjoy.

The trip is getting better.
Do you really want to stop at the first exit for lodging?
Sleeping in church may be better?

This is the road trip where you don't have to leave the comfort of your home to enjoy, just 'Google' your way across America.

Some of these are hitting close to home. Accident , MD was on the way to Deep Creek Lake where my family spent summer vacations back in the late 60' . I of course was sent to a special camp for special children.

Well folks you've been to places few can imagine on this internet journey and there are a few more interesting stops and dangers. The trip has only one more stop and a request after this.

Never knew that sign language could be so difficult to learn and understand. I do understand one thing though , " No matter where you go, that's where you are . "

When we were first married 46 years ago I took my new bride back to Pa. to meet my family. One of my brother and his wife wanted to take us to Amish Country to see the sites.
When we came to the town of Bird In Hand the new bride got kind of red faced, then we drove into Intercourse and she lost it.

A group of us over here will be doing a day trip to Amish country next spring. We'll post some good pictures so you can relive the moment.

Well, I've been to Hell and back (on a Harley). I don't have a picture, but there is a sign welcoming visitors "Welcome to Hell"
Here's the link

I think this journey will come to an end, it has been fun, we saved on fuel and maintenance and some of the places visited and the road signs extremely funny. We have taken the road 'Seldom Seen' and we certainly 'Need More Road', the little 'Smiley Wing Rider' is a tad upset that his trip has come to an end. However you can help him continue his journey and he won't be upset.

Dear lady: No thread comes to an end here. They may lose their supremacy on the active board, but they never just end in some black cyber space hole. I know what it is like give birth to a thread; to nurture it and watch it mature, to send it off to college only to have it come home again. The words of Robert Frost have always helped me through these moments: " I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference." ( To be continued...... )

@ Chopin, yer tuggin at me heart strings quoting like that, but you're right, the threads never truly end. Going to be on the lookout for goofy signs the rest of my life I reckon.
Wow, a Maestro, a poet, an Iron Chef of the egg world, who knew?

Nobody knows. That's why I'm here and not signing my autograph at Borders Books.

Hang in there buddy, some publisher is bound to hear of this place one day. Then we can all say we played a part in your journey to fame. Anyhoo, If I ever get down there, I'll practically beg for your autograph!
