: New Topic
fossil92 10-30-2010, 05:03 PM Since the cold weather is creeping in & riding is sparse. I decided to start a new topic with NorthEast/West & Canadian riders in mind. So here goes.
Movie Reviews
The little lady & I just came back from watching "RED".
Category:Action/Adventure with a touch of comedy.
Stars:Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, Mary-Louise Parker & Richard Dreyfus
Synopsis:Former aging Goverment agents are targeted by CIA in an attempt to silence a past development.
I found this to be an entertaining flick with enjoyable characters even from actors that I don't normally like. Decent storyline with some suprises & comic relief. Highly recommended Guys.
Two Thumbs Up from the Fossil & The Little Lady.
chopin114 10-30-2010, 05:38 PM You right fossil. Pretty soon the Lounge Forum will be getting busy. I'm going to put the bike up in another week or so myself. I have in my possession the nine disk DVD's on Gl1800 maintenance and repairs. It should make for good entertainment cuddled up in front of the laptop with a cup of hot chocolate on a snowy evening. See you at the movies.
I wish they called this the garage. Sounds more manly and action oriented but alas, it is aptly named as I am almost horizontal as I type on this laptop. My foot has improved this week and I hope to be able to work my normal job and then still have the stamina to do my thing in the garage soon.
We do see a few movies but usually wait for Netflix. This was on the maybe list so maybe you have pushed me over the edge to go see it now.
BTW, that is some picture ya got there. I don't know squat about those animals but I would have been on high alert waiting for a ram handshake (headbut).
Also had another first this week on the bike. 65 mph on a cloverleaf at about 6 am and in the dark. Just as I decided this was pretty dumb to do at this time of day, out jumped a rabbit. Got off the throttle but no time to reduce speed. Could not staighten the line either. All I could think of was that blasted rabbit kicking out my front tire.
Kudo's to the Goldwing. It was a heavy bump but it didn't really shift my line. I was as impressed as I was appreciatative. No need for coffee when I got to work.
Keep up the reviews and I hope we have similar tastes in movies. I will save my money and let you be the guinea pig. Enjoy the evening, I need to find the wife and some dinner.

Had the same problem when I went to the drive in theater. I couldn't remember what the movie was about.

Two Wheel Wing 10-31-2010, 07:01 AM Hey Fossil, it's been a long time since I've been to a movie theater, but I do like movies. I'm waiting for the release of enhanced version of the "Back to the Future" movies. I always enjoyed them, I guess because it took me back to a time in my life when things seemed simpler (or maybe I was just unaware).
Thanks for the review of the movie. I saw it advertised on TV and thought it might be good. I've always liked Bruce Willis in the TV series "Moonlighting" and in his action films. I usually wait until they get to TV for them to clean up the language thing.
Hope you get a few more rides in before the snow flies in NE Pa. Ride safe..

lonewolftx 10-31-2010, 06:32 PM Just upgraded to a 47" HDTV so Jeanne could see it. I told her new glasses would do the trick for a lot less money. She said "I don't need glasses, just a bigger TV"

Did you ever notice how much better the food on the menu is when you have your glasses, when you have to squint to read the menu the food just doesn't seem appetizing?
I have to remember to bring the reading glasses, as the glasses for distance don't work well.
budoka 11-24-2010, 10:04 AM Did you also ever notice that the lighting in a high percentage of restaurants is very low? They claim it's for "ambiance" I say it's do you can't see what they serve!
