I am somewhat new to this forum, but I thought I would let those who read this forum let them know that if they ever have a serious problem that requires a tow for their bike, and are on the south side of the Atlanta GA area, to please try this number first...Chris Crawford 404-449-0050. If I can help in some way, please feel free to call. If I am home, I will do what I can to help you out..I have a small enclosed trailer that is able to carry just about any bike up to the size of a Goldwing. [I think that should be just about any of them!] I can bring gas...I have tools...I can bring my small compressor...Just let me know if I can help. If it is Mon thru Sat, I also know a real good Honda shop that has treated me right in the past.

Chris: Pursuant to your proffer I think there should be a sub-forum set up here with those who would like to leave their contact number, etc. We members come from all across the United States and if we are traveling a print out sheet of friendly riders is a good thing. Harley Davidson has one, why shouldn't we ?

I agree. I am not a member of the golden book but I have a trailer and would be willing to help anyone in the Triad area. Could this be added to the profile where we post the info we want made public and what we are willing to do?

Ever the cautious like Ray. I'm not sure that how it can be done to ensure security, unless we just know that each other are there. I for one would be willing to help anyone. When the little lady & I went across country Two Wheel gave me a list of names that were posted on another site that I kept with our netbook. I know that just keeping in touch with the site worked for us when we had trouble in Vegas. Radarsdad gave us a good recommendation for a shop.

Maybe the answer is that we should keep in touch through the site? Not Sure. I think I just added another layer of confusion.

Maybe we can solve this by spring-it doesn't really matter to me how we do it: I don't mind giving out my number but seems a little pointless in November. If you are passing thru the Piedmont of NC, send me a shout and I will give it to you.

I appreciate those who have offered to assist riders in their time of need; however, in these days and times, caution should be the word. Don't like being an alarmist but we all know the dangers of the open road.

Although I will stop to assist any rider on the side of the road, I hesitate to call someone I don't know. I rely on AAA (they do tow motorcycles, bring gas, etc.), and as a backup GEICO also offers breakdown insurance. Both AAA and GEICO telephone numbers are on my cell phone.

I'm no expert, but I have no problem helping out a fellow rider. I have the factory 1200 tool kit and a boatload of hand tools. I also have gas cans and battery chargers and such. I'm in Vero Beach Florida. If there is a way to give contact info I would be glad to participate.

that`s a great Idea . the other clubs that I belong to most are free clubs we habve a break down list if you need help you have the numbers from the members who can help you in a tight spot , my two cents worth
