i havent yet recieved my repair maunal for my '96 se so i am doing some things blind. where do you check the coolant level? i have removed the engine side covers but didnt find it. also do the 1500's have any reoccoring problems with waterpumps or radiators leaking?

The right side between the handle bar and the fairing pocket, there is a black piece of plastic, remove it and you will see the radiator, usually no problem with the water pump unless you use the wrong coolant, use the Honda pre mixed stuff you get at the dealer.
