Which one is the best. Elite 3 or the D250?

I believe the 1800 comes with D250's. A lot of riders go to the E3's when they need new tires. Others go with the Bridgestone's and seem to like them as well.

On my 98 GL1500 whenever I needed tires I stuck with what came with the bike (which were Dunlop K77's I think). I only have 7k on my GL1800 so I'm not looking for tires yet, but I'll face the same decision when I do. Let us know what you decide and why. Ride safe...

The D250's are radials, correct (?), which are not recommended for the 1500 (bias ply only). I've run E3's on my 1500 for years and with the exception of a "whine" when cornering, I think they're great tires.

I think MCKID is riding a 2001 GL1800 based on some of his other posts. If not, your right about the radials not being for the 1500. It helps if folks specify in their signature or profile what they ride. They we can better help them out.. Ride safe..
