How do I get the console off a '94 to get at the fuel filter under the tank door?

Welcome to the forum. To remove the shelter you have to remove the seat (four bolts), to access two 6mm nuts on the bottom of the console, remove the two fairing pockets, open the fuel door and release the two white latches. The console will now lift off. You can fudge the fuel filter in there without removing all that. Good luck... good riding... Bob.
