I have a 96 Interstate with 26,000 miles on it and the forks need bushings already. Doesn't that seem a little soon for this?:confused:

They are 14 years old.

At 26,000 miles it does seems strange that they would need replacement................years doesn't have anything to with them wearing out...................on my 02 wing.................I was going to replace them at 75,000 but they were like new an didn't replace them.............now on my 08 with a fork brace they were totally wore out at 39,000.......think the fork brace had something to do with them wearing............I now have 83,000 an goin to check them again

I agree....... even though they are 14 years old, they don't wear out sitting in the garage. I did put a fork brace on it 4000 miles ago. Maybe the brace finished the bushings off.
