I am a long time dirt bike rider, I own an '07 CRF450R but my wife and I are looking to buy a Goldwing to "trike". I'm looking for an ABS model from '02-'07. A couple of questions I have are, what is considered good mileage on the bike and opinions on ABS and what kind of fuel mileage is the average. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, the best mileage you can hope for will be in the low 40's, I am told that when I trike mine, I will lose about 5 mpg.

Whoville2,
If you are interested in an ABS equipped trike only two companies offer kits for them DFT and CSC at present time. ABS is a good option, but if you could find a low mileage trike without it would you be interested? A Goldwing is a very robust bike and a well maintained one can last for 300,000 miles and beyond. I purchased a 1993 GL-1500 with 51,000+ miles on it, knowing that the Wing is good for a long time as long as I take care of it.
You can get a 2002 with 48,000 miles for $21,900.00 in Inverness, Florida.

Look at this gentleman's offerings and see the miles and prices on some nice trikes. This will give you an idea of what is out there.

I'm liking the 2009 yellow one. Kind of reminds me of "big bird"..

whoville2,
It's actually cheaper to buy a trike assembled and the 'Bugs' are worked out of the new installation too.
I agree with Joe on this.
