Did a search but didn't find this specific info.

I'm going to put an ipod in the left pocket of my 1800 using the aux cable. I've also got the 12 volt power socket in the pocket. I note they list on ipod options they use a 12volt power (cig lighter type plug) for CHARGING. My question, will it charge while playing the ipod? Say I'm on a very long ride, will it keep the ipod charged and playing the whole time or will I have to shut down to allow it to charge.

I know absolutely squat about ipods

As long as the key is on or the bike is running it will charge.

... Howdy ... I Too Keep A Ipod In Left Pocket And Have Aux. Power Supply But I Have Never Had To Charge It While Riding My Wing Although I Keep It Charged In The Truck ... Happy Trails ...
