Well after a couple years being away from the 05 wing I sold. I bought another one today. Another metallic gray 05 bought from a co-worker with 15k miles in very good condition. The only damage is where he spread some of the wrong wheel cleaner on his front wheel, so it's pretty badly stained but figure I can get one on ebay at some point tho not a big deal to me.

I've spent some time, taking off the chrome addons and putting it back to stock. Will install a sat radio in this one as on my other. Going to change all the fluids and plugs and brake pads this weekend.

Congtars on the purchase, what kind of Chrome are you removing and why?

Enjoy your return to winging. Why remove chrome items ? The best chrome is that paid for by a previous owner ? :)

Thanks, I'm just removing the aftermarket chrome trim. on the panniers and top box, and on the fairing sides. Going to put back the original reservoir covers and brake clutch levers.
