Does anyone here have experience with installing after market turn signals on an older Wing, specifically a 76?
I bought a set of small LED's and no matter how I wire them up they don't blink, but they will light up, sort of.

Yep, I just posted about that yesterday, Go to the post "A bit confused about the stator on the 1200" (Close enough) and scroll down to the last post I made. You need two resistors because the flasher unit needs a load.If you still have a problem there is a link to a wiring diagram and a write up. The link is posted here somewhere in the last several days.

Very informative.
But Honda runs a two wire system back to the turn signals.
I wonder if the resistor would work the same with it?

On the 76 are the rear turnsignals seperate from the taillight and brakelight? My manual is for 84-85 Goldwings which shows them seperate,ie;the turn sigs. have a seperate bulb.Assumption is the mother of all screw ups.

you may need to change your flasher to a new style to get full voltage.check into this http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/index.cgi?action=DispPage&Page2Disp=%2Fspecs%2FCF13JL-02.html

Thanx for the info, I truly appreciate it.
Seperate lights, by the way.

I'm going to try the resistor idea, later this spring.
Winter blows twice as bad, here in Nebraska, without a garage!
