Hello All

New to the Forums ... Hope I am posting in the right place :)

I am looking for the Front Brake Master Cylinder for my 1990 GL1500SE. I have been told that the Right Master Cylinder from a '90 or '91 SE or Aspencade will work (NOT one from an Interstate).

Anyone out there got any good leads on where I can purchace this part. Its production has been discontinued so I am forced to look for a used part.

Dont need the lever ... just the Master Cylinder. A piece inside the case broke loose causing the relay to stick in the on position, cannot be fixed, and causes my Brake Lights to stay on ALL the time.

ANY help would be a God Send. If you want, you can call me at 469-867-0315 and we can discuss my options.

THANX!

Are you sure it's been discontinued? This is the part number for the Master Cylinder 45510-MAM-305

Here is the list of Goldwings that use the same one
1990 Honda GL1500 Gold Wing
1990 Honda GL1500SE GOLD WING SE
1991 Honda GL1500A GOLD WING ASPENCADE
1991 Honda GL1500SE GOLD WING SE
1992 Honda GL1500A GOLD WING ASPENCADE
1992 Honda GL1500SE GOLD WING SE
1993 Honda GL1500A GOLD WING ASPENCADE
1993 Honda GL1500SE GOLD WING SE
1994 Honda GL1500SE GOLD WING SE
1995 Honda GL1500A GOLD WING ASPENCADE
1996 Honda GL1500A GOLD WING ASPENCADE
1996 Honda GL1500SE GOLD WING SE

I would call some online Honda OEM dealers and see if they can still order that for you.

I found the Master Cylinder Brand New in the box for $68 from a distribution center in IL. It amazes me that Trained Honda Techs told me I was so limited on finding a replacement. Took me 12 minutes to place the order for a Brand New Master Cylinder for $68. Sellers on eBay were wanting TWICE that much for salvaged Master Cyliders.

Thanks for your help.

The brake lights are controlled by a relay switch that is attached to the bottom of the master cylinder with a screw. Are you sure you need the master cylinder?

It's either # 1 or #2 in the pictureone is for the cruise and one is for the brake lights.
