I could'nt find any reference on the GWOF to the problem of load balancing the turnsignals when upgrading to LED's from 1156 and 1157 incandescent bulbs. Has anyone upgraded to LED's and dealt with this problem? Apparently the flasher unit looks for a load and the LED's don't present enough load . I was told by a mechanic a device must be added, what is it? The LED's will help with the load on the alternator and stator, more visable, quicker response, brighter, and longer life.

Thanks Carl,I read through the article and its exactly what I needed to know. Simple ohms law and two load resistors, one for each side, nothing mysterious. I'll get the LED's from Peterbuilt (son-in-law is parts manager) and the resistors I have already,I'm a ham radio operator. This will be a piece of cake.
