Yes, it's a shocking thought, but it's true and you can discuss them here.

Yep...Besides my 91 Wing, I also own a 97 Valkyrie standard, my hot rod Goldwing! and I have a 98 Kawasaki KLR 650, for when I want to get a little dirty. I'm also going to pick up a Specialized Hardrock mountain bike this weekend...Does it count? It's a bike!

Bianchis are nice! I understand getting your bikes in order, spring is coming. The only thing I need for my Wing is tires and brakes. Those are coming in April. I'm looking at the Specialized Hardrock because it fits into my budget. I'm getting a leftover '10 disk for 391.00 out the door. I've read alot of good things about them. Good soild frames and decent componets. If I like mountain biking, I can upgrade the Hardrock as I go...Like our motorcyles!!

Yes, it is nice to spread those miles around. I need a dual sport to complete my collection. a KLR 650 would work great for me.

I really like my KLR. It does just what I need it to. I'm too old to be a hard core dirt bike rider, but it takes me down any dirt road I may want to try. That, and it gets 50 plus mpg, with a 6.6 gallon tank. I like that alot, with the price of gas going up every day!

i'm more of a roadie myself and i expect a new bianchi to cost $1000 - $1200 for a cheap one plus $150 or so for pedals. the 1500 needs a new rear tire and have the used left shock replaced. i'll change the fluid in the rear and check brakes while its apart. the 1200 just needs all brakes inspected

I can't wait to get my Hardrock. I live up in the High Desert of Southern California. There are hundreds of trials right behind my house. I walk to keep in shape, and I see the guys on their mountain bikes and it looks like fun. I'm looking forward to giving it a try.

Very comfortable as road bikes go. Also have a Jamis dakar team that I've had for about 12 years for my mountain bike riding.

I hated to see it go, but there wasn't enough budget for 2 bikes- so I sold the hotrod. My 1990 Vmax--totally bad to the bone and more than enough to have your drivers license revoked several times, but no room for the big man to stretch-out! This bike can lite it up in the first 3 gears and make your life flash before your eyes in 4th and 5th! The Vmax also has the marvelous ablity to embarass the so called Harley Vrod in the stop light Gran-Prix! LOL--so they can put that in thier Screamin-Eagle pipe and smoke it.

Got my Specialized Hardrock on Saturday. Very nice, well made mountain bike. It is so cool to see little disk brakes on a bicycle! Took it out Sunday morning for about an hour. That was fun! I can't wait to get more riding time in. We are kinda morphing this into a bicycle thread, are we not?

bigjim, The Vmax has always been at the top of my list as something to own. I just never had that opportunity come to pass. It's a shame you had to let it go.

I had a Motobecane 10 speed that I would sometimes make the 30 mile trip home from Andrews AFB . I don't know what that bike weighed but it was heavy, but of course I was stronger then. I had to sling it over my shoulder to carry across the Woodrow Wilson Bridge into Virginia. The bridge was not made for pedestrian traffic back then; but hell , I was a young stupid Marine who knew no fear. At least that is what the police officer told me when he stopped me on the shoulder lane of the beltway and told me not to ride on the highway.

i know how you feel chopin. when i was younger i got a warning from a cop for speeding, he said i was doing 37 in a 30 zone. the cycle computer was only showing 36.
