I'm a returning Goldwinger :) from years ago. Need some info about a "new" 1984 Standard model, if you please.

Did Honda Co. ever make a rear parcel carrier or trunk rack that was _specifically_ made for the 1984 GL1200 Standard model???

Thanks, but that's the problem. After market trunk rack, stress cracking from all the "vibration"!!! I figure that if Honda made one it wouldn't be as prone to breakage.

Regarding the parcel carrier / luggage rack.... is it just for looks or can it really be used for strapping down an extra bag? I ask because last night I was looking at one in 2007 catalog and I THINK it said it was good for upto 2 lbs!?!?!? Although they do look nice, I want to carry a little extra luggage.
