Hi, I just bought an 83 wing and want to ride it as much as possible but living in Massachussets I will probably be forced to put it away for a while.
What is the best way to store it? battery,gas etc.?

put your battery in a warm place on trickel charge, put some gas stabilizer in with a full tank of gas run the bike for about five minutes and shut the fuel valve off to let the carbs run dry. some people change their oil before winter storage. i put cardboard under my bikes so the moisture from the floor doesn't rust the bottom of my bikes then i spray the bikes completely with lemon pledge and put it up on the center stand

Once it gets too cold for me to ride this winter, I'll be bustin mine down for some serious detailing, and a few minor repairs.
I've heard the Lemon Pledge tip before...still sounds weird, but most of our Corvette folks use it, too! Who'd a thunk it?:D

Or you could send it out to California where it doesn't have to go into winter storage, I'm sure some one out here would ride it for you!! :)

... LMAO ... I HAD TO ASK ... NOTHING LIKE THE SMELL OF 'SPRING' LEMONS ... AND I'M GOING TO SLEEP VERY WELL TONITE KNOWING THAT VALUABLE INFORMATION ...

Seriously, WD40 is such a good penetrant that 30 years ago the FBI sent a letter to all law enforcement suggesting they not use it on their wepons. It seems that if you keep your gun loaded over a long period the WD40 may penetrate the primers causing a misfire. It may also soak its way into electrical parts on your Wing and cause damage.
That being said, In my opinion it is the best fish attractant made.
