hello and welcome to GWOF erniet, sorry but 2580 is right or you could get the dip stick kit from jc whitney and seal off the wiper screw

oil leak fixed
thanks guys
1 of many problems fixed
i tried to start the bike but it wouldnt turn over
starter solenoid clicks, lights go dim but thats it
so i push started it,it started right up, but doesnt run very well, also puffin some white smoke, and some clanking in the front of the motor at low rpms, could have been timing belts to loose,(adjusted belts today) owner before me said he put oil in the cylinders for winter storage,im hoping that was the reason for all the smoke.
i also think he played with the carbs which might be the reason for the engine running so poorly
seems to be running on 3 cylinders till i give it a little throttle
comp good, plugs good
gotta be them carbs

does this bike have a pos ground to the starter?

any help would be appreciated

thanks

When I purshased my motorhome it had been sitting for about a year. After the first trip (About 200 miles) I pulled back in the RV lot and the transmition puked out about two qts of fluid. It was comming out the input and output seals. I had a feeling that the seals were dry. I filled the tranny up and started it up. No leak. I drove it around for a while. No leak! Drove it from Waco to Montgomery. No leak! Drove it to the propane dealer and to a dump stattion weekly. No leak! Drove from Montgomery to Bandera.(330 mi) Still no leak!
I say give her a chance. She might be trying to work out the kinks.
