For the first couple of months I was kind of lost. I am 61 and had a job since I was 14. However, I adjusted to the situation. Couldn't get another job because I am 100% disabled with the VA. So, I ride, clean house, take naps, go to the casinos, go see the grand kids, check out the forum, plan rides to events and ride to them. We are full time RVrs so we are planing a trip north next summer. This year our Daughter is going to Iraq so we aree down here helping our son-in-law with the kids.
Have met a lot of fine people here. Starting in Aug-Dec will be making some rallies. Weekly rides with Chapter D for sure and many days of cruising the tree lined roads around here on the Green Wing. Hope to meet up with a bunch of you Wingers.

People ask what are you going to do with all your free time after you retire. I've been retired since 2002 and to be honest, I don't have a lot of free time. I don't know how I could go back to work and still get everything done that I do now. Retirement is great, especially if you have your health and a Wing. Enjoy and ride safe.

I am 100% disabled with the VA and I work. Stayed retired for 4 years before I went back to work. Now that I think about it - this job is really limiting my riding time, my fishing time, and my working on the yard time. Somebody remind me why I went back to work, please.....

After watching my parents retire from the government, move to Phoenix, take care of the elderly, and become elderly themselves, I have since decided that " retirement is a condition " and not a " ... consummation devoutly to be wished. " I'm an optimist but I sincerely dont know, or believe I can control, where or what I'll have to do, or be required to do, or be able to do, 15 years from now. Those of you with successful stories keep my optimism alive and healthy.

I'm still setting the alarm Monday thru Friday myself. Good friend of mine at work just anounced he was going out the 1st of March. The number of us "old Guys" still around will shrink again. Most of us have worked together for over 2 decades. My time will come and I'm looking forward to it. I believe I'll have no problem between the horses and the Wing finding something to do.
