I have a 95 SE with very low miles. On a cold start i get a small cloud of blue smoke. All else seems normal. Any ideas as to cause?

hello and welcome to GWOF shadetree mechanic. my 1200 has some blue smoke once in a while too, found out its normal as a small amount of oil can get by the rings on the left side while parked on the sidestand

I realize this thread is a couple months old, but most GL's will smoke from using the side stand. If you shut it off before putting it on the stand it is much better, and the by-passing oil get's worse the higher the temperture climbs. The center stand is best, but don't use it on warm or hot pavement if you don't want to see your bike on it's side due to sinking.

I Confurm What Budoka Said. Mine Is A 82 Gl 1100. It Puffs A Little Now And Then.esspiecially If You Start It On The Side Stand And Shut It Off Without Riding It.next Time You Start It, It Will Smoke
