OK it's early in the game, but so far I like what I see here. Looking forward to spending way too much time here.

Motorcycle.com network. At least it isn't controlled by just one vendor with a strictly enforced policy of discussing competitors. That could be a very good thing for the average rider.

Well my bad - I hadn't read this first.

Advertising, Marketing & Spam
2. - Links to your web site(s) are permitted in signatures. They should be of normal text size and may not contain, precede, or follow any additional marketing language. As per above, links to competing sites are prohibited and will be removed at the discretion of the moderators.

I did see wingstuff here in the left hand pane, so I guess we can talk about them if we like...

Note that it says " at the discretion of the moderators ", and that has to do with product links in your " signature ", not in your comments. Being a " vendor " is one thing, but being a " vendor " disguised as a " member " is something else. Am I right moderator ?

That would also be my take on it Chopin114. From experience I know how difficult it can be to be a mod and filter through the good guys and catch the bad guys, but after a while you learn to recognise the "S'ers" for what they are and oust them before they cause too much trouble. Can be a very time consuming effort on the part of the admins and mods both though.

I left a couple of forums because of trouble makers, people who post malicious information and those who promoted their personal 'home based' businesses in their signature lines. I like to be on a forum where people share information and have a fun time doing it. It would be unfair to Wing Stuff a forum sponsor who builds trikes if I posted I build trikes and a web address, I post no information on my personal profile with a shop listing. This is one of the better forums and the people are nice here.

You're a solid and decent person Trike Lady, hat's off to you for that. That's why forums are such a target for spammers because they can get 'inside' and work their fiendish little schemes. I think the mods and admins here to a remarkable job keeping us pretty clear of these ne'er do well yoyo's.
