Top 10 Signs Itís Time To Winterize Your Bike

Quote:
Iíve often felt that the real reason many motorcyclists donít winterize their motorcycles is that they keep holding off in hopes to squeeze in one more ride. Although the MO Towers are located in Southern California, many of us ventured from colder climes to the Great American West in an effort to enjoy year-Ďround riding. The journalism gig is just something we managed to weasel our way into as a means of supporting our habit.

In an effort to help dedicated riders in places that have real winter, the following list contains sure-fire signals that it is time to winterize your motorcycle rather than continue riding it or letting it sit unprepared developing the mechanical manifestations of Parked Motorcycle Syndrome.

around five years ago I took the 1500 wing to the dealer to have the BAS few days later bike was ready for pickup. I wasn't going to go get it that day but decided to go get it at the last minute. it was 35ļ when I got to the dealer but the heated gear I had with me would make the ride home comfortable. half mile from the dealer it started snowing, I was going to take the wing home but decided to put it in my nieces garage and hang up my gear for the season. the next day we got 8-9 inches of heavy snow

Good decision Will. I'm usually finished putting mine up by mid October...weather's too changeable to risk riding around here much past that.

First off I'm not the brightest bulb on the string. For me it is when the snow starts covering the road and on at least two occasions that wasn't enough.
Like I said I'm not the brightest bulb on the string.
