what did you do today

its been raining on and off pretty much all day. i called my sister up to see if she wanted to go to breakfast, she said yes. i picked her up ( in the van ) and we headed to our favorite mom and pop place for breakfast, sorry no pic's i forgot my camera and phone. after taking her back home i stopped at my nieces house. almost fussed at her for the sloppy job she or her husband did covering her wing but if something happens i'll buy it and fix it up. after getting home and being bored i decided to do an oil change on the 1500 wing. no sooner than i got the cover off and oil out the garage it started sprinkeling. i recovered the wing left the oil on the back of the convertable and raked the leaves out the flower beds in the back yard before heading back inside. half hour later the sun is out, the ground is dry so i head back out to do the oil change. i take the cover off the wing, get the drain pan and funnel out the garage and it starts sprinkeling again. i recover the wing, put the drain pan andfunnel back in the garage then bag up the leaves from earlyer and head back in the house. maybe 20 minutes pass and the rain has stopped, its just overcast but dry so i go out again get the wing uncovered, drainpan, funnel, and tools out before it starts sprinkeling again. everything gets put back in the garage the wing once again gets recovered and back in the house for me. anyone got an easyup i can borrow

Since it was raining here also I decided to go to work. I passed a group ride of six Goldwing 1800's in the pouring rain. Their bikes sure looked shiny glazed with rain water. Rapier and I ( with the ladies on back ) are planing a ride to Seneca Rocks tomorrow. Rapier has a new squeeze and she lives in my neck of the woods.

Had my taxes done at H&R Block, oh boy! I even got a refund
Got gas for the Wing @ $3.71 a gallon.
Snooped around in Wal-mart and bought groceries.
It was a nice sunny warm day too.

Rained hard here with thunderboomers, followed by winds that cleared it out late in the day.
I Had to work today but since it was raining, not so bad. I rarely work Saturdays but this is 2 in a row.

I put 300 miles on the 1500 this week with new brake pads and rubber. This restore thing has gone slow but I am getting it there.

I keep listing all the things that need to be done and it seems Spring is the busiest season of all. Yardwork, etc. Gotta find more time to ride. Tomorrow's looking good.

Sat and watched the rain come down, along with my Mt Ash tree in the front yard. Split down the middle. Don't know if it was hit by lighting or just old age. OH yea, I gavew the dog her Easter bath too.

We went to Austin yesterday (in the car) to shop for some Gortex riding boots for the wife and I sat on every bike in the Triumph store trying to convince the wife why I needed each bike (no luck there). Then went to the Honda shop and Cycle Gear. Next stop is the "Top Notch" hamburger joint. It's been there for forty years or so and I think they make the best hamburger around. Then off to the antique mall and lastly IKEA. Three hundred miles later and at midnight we're pulling in to the drive way. No rain though, we're still in a bad drought here.

We got an inch of snow over night, and woke up to rain and high winds, so the dog and I sat on the couch, and watched the Nationwide race on TV. I did get out in the morning to go help my father inlaw pick up his new dishwasher.
