Latitude

I don’t know if this is the right place to post this but here it goes…….It is a neat thing that some may use already but I’m new to it and you may like it….
Latitude is an app that comes with my Galaxy3 S phone (android system). Perhaps you may have something similar on your I-phone. What you could do with it besides knowing about your family or friends location YOU CAN TRACK YOURSELF and look at it anytime, by date.
A few days ago I have posted somewhere a trip that I took to see a friend, and then I went to Lancaster and home. You can zoom in and of street level. The pic under is my trip not functional but you can see where I went. Cool, I think. All you have to do is sign up on Latitude and carry your cell with you.

I've used latitude for a couple of years. It's a great way to let others know your whereabouts (as long as that's not an issue for you ). When riding alone, it's a little bit of reassurance both for loved ones to see that you're still moving, and for a rider in the event of the unthinkable while off somewhere on their own. I hadn't ever gone into the history part though. That's kind of neat:

Exactly what I think Kerry. As with anything, it has to be specific usage to protect your privacy. I'll use mine for specific contacts (herself for example) when I'm out in the bush or travelling alone so she knows where I'm at. Not gonna help if I drop my phone though

It might help find your phone thou. Or just an idea of where you lost it.(all you have to do is call your wife and ask her to look up your cell location but of course you donít have a phone to call her, lol .)
There is another app for just finding your phone .You can remotely make it ring even if last was muted and you could delete all your contacts or personal stuff.

That's very true. I can see it now. "Thanks for helping me find my phone Dear. Who'da thought someone else would have picked it up and then left it at that peeler bar. Oh well, I have it back now. Dear? Dear? Did she hang up???"
