April 21, 22, 23 Mid Missouri M&G

After talking to a few of the forum members we have figured out how Carol and I can go to a M&G. We'll just host one. Where? Closed to our house in Missouri on Pomme De Terre Lake at Galmey, Mo. Wheatland Corp Camp Ground. It is right across the road from our house. We are approx 60 miles north of Springfield, Mo. There are lots of small resort type motels in the area also. When? April 21st - 23rd 2017. We are kind of in the North Central Ozarks and there are a lot of interesting rides in the area.

Here is the info on Motels. Campgrounds are in my next post.

Main motel; Willow Winds Resort, Galmey, Missouri, 417-282-5591. This page has rates, (keep in mind I haven't talked to them about a group rate yet, but regular rates are $50 to $65 2ppl.) http://www.willowwindsresort.com/ This page has maps on how to get there, http://www.willowwindsresort.com/about.asp This is a really nice motel with a great view.

Secondary Motel; Pelican Inn, Galmey, Missouri, 417-282-5937. Rate $58 2 ppl. No group rate. http://pelicaninnonpomme.com/ This page has a map, http://pelicaninnonpomme.com/map.htm

This is Bass Tournament season so make your reservations early. BTW, I checked for cabins and didn't find any. Also I couldn't find a motel that allowed pets so if you want to bring a pet PM me and we may be able to work something out at our house. The campground does allow pets.

Here is a link to Wheatland Park. http://www.reserveamerica.com/campin...O&parkId=73476 If we happen to fill up this park there are several more close and if you don't mind camping on a hill we might be able to put some up on our land. We own six consecutive lake lots but none are very level. http://www.recreation.gov/camping/wh...O&parkId=73476

Getting There:
GPS Info. (Latitude, Longitude):
37.87556, -93.37444
3752'32"N, 9322'28"W

From Springfield, MO, take Highway 13 North to Bolivar, MO, then travel on Highway 83 northeast past Elkton, MO to Highway 254. Follow Highway 254 E to The Triangle and take CR205 South. Follow signs to park.

I have reserved the picnic pavilion in the campground for Saturday night the 22nd. We'll have a potluck diner, kind of like we did in Arkansas last year. I'll cook my hamburgers so someone will need to bring the fixins'. You can buy everything you need from a convenience store right up the road.

I will add this to my calendar and see if I can make it. I have an Aunt & Uncle in Nixa so I could slip in a visit to them also.

You could come down here and stay. After all, I'm pretty sure Mississippi is on the way to Missouri from Pennsylvania.
