New Updated GL1800 Darksider Information

Guys,
I have spent all week Googling like a fool. I have read just dang near every thread that Google returned. Most were on this forum. Please don't flame me. I have used the search feature.

I can not find tire dealers that actually have any of the tires listed for Darksiding a GL1800.

There are so many brands and models, and they change so often, that I am thinking they might have one that works, but not THE one listed in these threads. For example, someone is suggesting Brand X, Model FireX, but I can only find Brand X, Model SnowX. Same tire, slight change?

What is the CURRENT list of tires for a 2012 GL1800?

195/55/16

and

205/?/16 if you roll that way.

I tried all of the major vendors and can not find what you guys are listing in other threads. It isn't hard to find the tire size, but I am hoping to find a tire that someone else has already tried and knows works.

I would want to run the 195 55 16, not wider.

Ok , most of us was running a Michelin Alpin Primacy run flat . Its a winter tire , Alan helped me to find one . I was going to try a Michelin Primacy summer tire . Some has went to Bridgestone Driveguard all season in a 195/55R16 87V . hope this helps . Maybe Lee will add to this .

True, the Michelin Alpin PA3 seemed to please the riders that rode on it ( myself included ), but it is not the only car tire used by Goldwing Darksiders. I'm currently running on the Bridgestone DriveGuard 195/55/R16 Run Flat. Another " popular " brand is the Yokohama Avid Envigor Run Flat. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSe...earDiameter=17

Lee, for now.
