Turn signal problem

I am trying to help my sister out with her 1500 trike. The signals recently quit working. Sometimes with the key on and engine off the signals will work, never work with engine running. I was hoping someone might have seen this before, and might save some time tracing harnesses and cleaning connections. This is a Hannigan trike and wired professionally. It has been triked for several years and the problem just started so I do not believe it has anything to do with the mods. Thank you for any ideas.

I've seen a almost the same thing happen on a Kawasaki that belong to a friend of mine. A new flasher cured it.
