extended warranty?

I have just entered my third year of warranty on my 2015 Goldwing. At this time I am thinking about the possibility of buying the extended warranty. I have heard that you can buy the extended warranty from any dealer and price can be negotiated. I would like to know what you folks are paying for the Honda extended warranty, and who you might recommend to purchase it from.
Thanks for any info you might have.

Check " Directline Parts ". I bought a full factory 3 year warranty for $500, but that was 4 years ago. Never needed it and it's gone now . Oh well. I'm on my own.

Perhaps a good question to ask is "Has anyone had any repairs on a Gold Wing purchased new that would have warranted the purchase of an extended warranty?"

Usually the service writers have an incredible ability to weasel out of doing the repairs under the warranty. My guess that Honda doesn't pay well for warranty related problems. So service advisers have to become very creative.

I purchased the Extended Warranty on my 07 and paid roughly $500 and never had to use it. It expired and I haven't even thought about it. Now that I've said that, it will probably fall apart tomorrow. ... Isaac

I am not a buyer of extended warranties. There is ALWAYS a clause and a deductible. My issue would always be in that clause or right at the deductible price. I trust my GW to not break, thus am not forking over 6 large for "peace of mind".

I sleep just fine the way it is.

However, if it makes you feel better to have one, go for it, its your ching. If I was so inclined to buy one, it would be thru Honda direct and not with any other company.

Good luck and let us know what you decide.

Tell ya what guys. Y'all send me your money and "IF" your wing breaks. Ill pay to fix it. Remember, they are making money on those warranties so somebody HAS to be losing money on the other end. Guess who that is.???

Seniorbiker, Your right up RT40 from me. When the weather clears a bit, lets get together for a cup and a ride thru some corn fields.
