First long trip on the wing

Well Wednesday I am headed to key Biscayne to see my brother. I'm going on the new wing that Dustin help do all the mods. Rizer bars, highway pegs, luggage rack, belly pan, and hook ups for the tour master heated gear. Thanks again Dustin. Haven't decided yet if I can do it in one day, not as young as use to be. Be gone a week and really looking forward to be in sunny south Florida. It is a little over 900 miles from goshen springs, ms.

Enjoy your ride and be safe. Be extra careful of the bluehair's that cannot see over the steering wheel of their '74 Caddy's. (or Buquick's)

I love long distance riding. My advice, take lots of 50 to 75 mile breaks until you feel comfortable. Then ride till you need fuel or sooner. Just ride at your own pace. Iron butt riding is not for everyone.

I would be doing it over 2 days. But then that is just what I like to do. Most importantly have a fun trip.

Well since it's your 1st long trip. My initial thought is enjoy the hell out of it.

2ndly ride until you think you need a break, if it's 75, 100, 200, 500, or the whole 900 so be it. The main thing is you have nothing to prove to anyone and be aware of fatigue. Also be sure to stay hydrated as that will keep you refreshed and alert.

Also have fun

Well about decided not to try to ride 940 miles in one day. Stop when I'm tired get a hotel and good nights sleep. May take one day and go to key west. Thanks for the comments. Looks like the weather going to be great but hope I get a chance to try out the new heated gear. Getting excited about the trip

Enjoy the trip, that's the important thing. There are lots of ways to get there. You can cut the corner across at Tallahassee down through Perry and stay along the coast to Tampa. Nice ride. I'll be slaving away at work so be sure to share your ride with pictures for us poor working slugs.
