Well Rohny I'll jump in with both feet.

Having been to Elkins area several times now, that's a great spot. All of the above things are of interest to an Ole Fossil except that camping thing (Our idea of roughing it is when the hotel doesn't serve a hot breakfast).

Ride length for the M&G's seem to be really nice in the 150-200 mile range although some of us will be okay at 300-400 (that may be too long for some folks).

Time Frame: As long as it isn't on the 1st & 2nd week of July 2017 (Canadians invade PA.) or the 3rd & 4th week of Aug 2017 (Aussie's invasion) & PA. Outback Tour, the Fossils will be interested.

Late May early June should work, heck we may even tie that into our trip that jaNICE has planned and coined as "Our Booze Run" to the Kentucky distilleries.

That works as well too.

Thinking more about your plans the only item I can think may not be as interesting to some is the Civil War sites. I know Mark (Crownfire), Pete (Golddragon), and myself are intrigued but others may find them a bit boring especially with their wives along. Mark, Pete and I have actually talked about doing a weekend Civil War ride but all these dang M&G's keep interrupting that plan

Rohny,

Late May to early June makes for some great riding in west Va.
Any place in the state has great roads . We usually do a 4-5 day riding and camping trip in the area each year so what ever you put together will work for me .
Maybe a location for base with a hotel and campground ?
Thanks again for leading Brian and I ( Brian also) on some a great rides at the Ohio Meet and Greet
Let me know what develops and what you need help with and I will jump in to help get this up and going .

stay safe

Brian

Rohny,
Elkins a nice central location and late May is good timing for me at least. I see there are a couple covered bridges in the area. Like Bill said, the Civil War sites are always an attraction for me. Waterfalls are great as are vistas. But it's about roads, roads, roads. Just the ride is always great. I do camp, but more likely is motel if someone wants to share a room.

Here's an option; http://www.brewstel.com/ but it's like a bunkhouse and needs about six people who don't mind farting and snoring. I could bring my earplugs......
